American Revolution

The American Revolution was fought to change despotic taxation and ordinance by the slope government in order to restitute the social political and economic structure of the colonies before the incline oppression. The colonists were very content with their lives until the implementation of heavy taxation and oppressive measures by the English government as well as some English companies. Conditions in England during the 16th and 17th centuries reflected a great change. This made landowners, wool manufactures and merchants very wealthy. Many of the migrants were cut back to begging and stealing to survive. In turn migrating to a recent world seemed a hopeful choice for many of these people. English leaders as well as saw the colonies as a expressive style to solve the problem of the growing number of displaced and poor people, relegious freedom, and a way of fulfilling its desire to sell much goods and resources. The first made liquidation was Jamestown, VA established in 1607. King James I of England granted the Virginia Company a corporate charter that gave control over the colony to the company stakeholders and directors. In 1618 the Virginia Company also created a representative assembly, the House of Burgesses. It was the first assembly in colonial America.



This was designed to encourage people who sought more freedom to migrate to the new colony. Although this was a step toward egotism government, it included a provision that limited the burgesss power. The provision required the company to approve any laws that they enacted. When commerce failed the crown accused the Virginia Company of mismanagement. The king and his ministers then off-key the authority to appoint the governor and his advisory council, but preserve the House of Burgesses. They also made the Church of England the official perform in Virginia, so that all property owners in the colony had to pay taxes to support its ministers.
